That's why the STOP methodology is a helpful reminder to Systematically Think, Observe, and Proceed before jumping to conclusions. Developed by Carl Hanser Verlag, this approach ensures that the root cause of the problem is truly resolved in injection molding troubleshooting. 🚀The concept of STOP came about while interviewing process engineers and technicians. The answers provided were often correct to a point but quite diverse. Without knowing what was happening, it could lead to disaster. That's why the first thing to do when troubleshooting in injection molding is to STOP and examine what's happening.To ensure a systematic approach, it's helpful to break the problem into key categories. For injection molding troubleshooting, the 4M's we focus on are Molding process, Mold, Machine, and Material.     Competition for the professionalOften it is a shared experience between the injection molding companies that it is difficult to find injection molding professionals with the right qualifications. Many professionals with years of experience are aging, leading to a shortage in supply that fails to meet industry demands.In the traditional education system, although the theoretical foundations are mastered, there are few opportunities to get to know the deeper technical details and apply them in practice. Thus, companies must devote additional resources to training young people leaving school.Internal training programs often operate with less-than-ideal efficiency due to inadequate conditions or capacity. It is probably not an unknown phenomenon for many that someone has to leave temporarily during training to address production issues...While there are currently few practice-oriented injection molding training options are available on the market, yet the external trainings may be the solution, since the participants can fully concentrate on the training at the external location.
