That's why the STOP methodology is a helpful reminder to Systematically Think, Observe, and Proceed before jumping to conclusions. Developed by Carl Hanser Verlag, this approach ensures that the root cause of the problem is truly resolved in injection molding troubleshooting. 🚀The concept of STOP came about while interviewing process engineers and technicians. The answers provided were often correct to a point but quite diverse. Without knowing what was happening, it could lead to disaster. That's why the first thing to do when troubleshooting in injection molding is to STOP and examine what's happening.To ensure a systematic approach, it's helpful to break the problem into key categories. For injection molding troubleshooting, the 4M's we focus on are Molding process, Mold, Machine, and Material.
