S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. -- It's a perfect day to head to the pool and learn how to swim.
On Thursday, dozens of kids took part in the World's Largest swim lesson at Wildwater Kingdom.
Participants were broken up into three groups: beginner, intermediate and advanced. For some, this was their very first lesson ever, and for others, it was all about honing in on their skills.
"We're just trying to get them into the water, you know, trying to get them more comfortable, you know, maybe getting their face in the water, things like that," Stephanie Raffa, Aquatics and Safety Manager at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, said.
Hundreds of aquatic centers, water parks and swim schools are participating in the event across six continents. More than 39,000 kids and adults are expected to be part of the 15th annual event, making it the World's Largest Swim Lesson.
The last two years that Wildwater Kingdom participated, it rained and only 14 people showed up. This year was much different with 99 swimmers.
"Fourteen is the most we've ever had,"Communications and Public Relations Manager Ryan Eldredge said. "We're hoping the nice weather today and then the some of the partnerships we have now will make it a better day."
The nice weather not only brought more people out for the swim lessons, it's been bringing people continuously to the water park this week.

"I've never seen this many people in the park this early in the year, period," Eldredge said.
Attendance overall at Wildwater Kingdom is up, and that's thanks in large part to the weather.
"Certainly, the sun, the warm temperatures, great for the water park," Eldredge said. "I've been up here a couple of times throughout the week and it's amazing how many people are in here during a week in June."
The staff at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom know a hot day means an influx of guests.
They also know it means they need to look out for the safety of their employees.
"When we get into these high temperatures, we rotate them out more quickly," Raffa said. "We make sure that they're cooling off in cool areas, we also encourage them to get in the water."
They're also looking out for the guests. Staff at the park make sure they stay hydrated, have access to sunscreen, sunglasses and lots of water.
